This is a special alert going out to you all on our comrade Jamal Hart, the son of Mumia Abu-Jamal.

After 10 months of NO infractions, Jamal has been placed in the hole. He is "under investigation" for an unknown reason.

For the past week or so, the facility he is in has been on complete lockdown. Jamal has not been able to make a phone call in the last 2 weeks. Fortunately, the mail does continue to flow out from his side but whether or not he gets his mail coming in is a whole other story. His personal property has been tampered with. He filed a grievance against the officers involved stating that they were illegally holding his property.

They placed the bulk of the Muslim inmates in the hole and unfortunately he was one of them. There is an ongoing investigation of a recent incident that occurred at the facility which, according to a source, was gang-related.

Jamal is NOT a member of any gang and he was at work at the time whatever incident went down. He was NOT involved on NO level. Whenever the facility is on total lockdown, NOBODY gets visits and very limited opportunities to make any phone calls. Mind you, the only days they are allowed visits are on the weekends and Federal holidays.

This is absolutely unacceptable!! We must put this concentration camp on notice to let them know that Jamal has a HUGE extended family out here and we care about what is going on with him.

Ask them since when is it a crime to be a Muslim and why is Jamal's personal property being tampered with. I will definitely keep you posted on any other further developments.
