Atlanta Conference October 17th and 18th, 2008
There will be a Black Panther Party Newspaper exhibit on the 9th floor in the African-American
Studies Dept. on Friday and Saturday. Come check it out.

Emory Douglas Revolutionary Artist, Former Minister of Culture of the Black Panther Party,
will speak @ the opening session,and he will also speak @ the reception at the SouthWest Arts
Center Friday night. He will host a slide show Saturday at the Auburn Library @ 2pm.

Willie Ricks (Mukasa) top organizer for SNCC in the 1960's and the person who coined "Black Power"
will speak @ the opening session of the conference.
Robert Wilkerson a member of the Angola 3 will attend the Atlanta Conference,
he will be a part of the Political Prisoners panel on Saturday @ Georgia State.
He will also speak @ the opening and will be available to do book signing of
his new books.
Sister Charlotte O'Neal of Tanzania will attend the conference, bring news from Africa and do a workshop.
She will also perform at the Opening of the conference.
Panther Cubs: Meet and Greet workshop will be held @ Georgia State University Saturday morning.
(time will be posted soon.) This is a chance for Panther Cubs to meet and discuss programs and
projects they are working on.
Political Prisoner Panel will be held on Georgia State University campus, Saturday morning
times will be posted soon) It will include the San Francisco 8 and Angola 3.
