October 1: Black Panther Film Festival will be held at the Parkway theater in Oakland (Park and E. 18th St) by Lake Merritt. The Festival will start @ 1pm. All movies will be about the BPP and it's members.

Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Jack London Square (downtown) will feature Black Panther Books. They will also display photos from Stephen Shames new book in their big display windows outside. This display will be done by Aperture.

October 2: The opening of "All Power to the People" Art Exhibit. This exhibit will feature work done by Emory Douglas and Posters by the BPP. The exhibit curator is Alden Kimbrough of Southern Calif. Also displayed will be photos by Stephen Shames from his new photo book on the BPP. This exhibit will take place at the Asian Resource Gallery @ 8th and Harrison, downtown Oakland.

October 12: The opening reception for the Stephen Shames photos and All Power to the People Art exhibit will start at 6pm at the above address @ Asian Resource Gallery.

October 13: The Opening of the 40th yr Reunion and Conference at the Malonga Center for the Arts( Alice Arts) at 1pm thru 9pm There will be workshops, speakers and photo and art exhibit in the lobby of the theater and upstairs on the 3rd floor in Studio 3, 1428 Alice St. Social Mixer @ local club after.

October 14: 2nd day of workshop, speakers, movies, entertainment, workshops until closing of Conference 9am thru 4pm Dinner @ the Jack London Inn, In Jack London Square @ 7pm.

October 15: The first event of the day will be a group photo at 11am in front of the Oakland Alameda County Courthouse, a Day in Bobby Hutton Park from 12pm - 5pm with music, speakers and movies and photo exhibit at the W. Oakland Library across the street from Bobby Hutton Park.There will be a late event at the Eastside Artist Alliance for Political Prisoners it will start at 6pm. Eastside Artist Alliance is located at 23th and International (E. 14 St.).
