Peace Sis. Marpessa thanks for the e-mail and passing along Dr. Shakur's concerns about his web site since the passing of his uncle Churne. Dr. Shakur and I had weekly phone conversations for over a year to ensure regular updates were made to his site and important items were made readily available, however since his move to Colorado from Florida, his phone time has been extremely limited, though Churne and I had been speaking weekly as far as the maintenance of Dr. Shakur's site.

Since Churne's passing I have heard from Dr. Shakur in terms of updating his web site, however as he and his staff know, Churne recently had a volunteer fix up Dr. Shakur's site a bit however we were not in touch with that volunteer. I've since been trying through Dr. Shakur and some of his staff to locate the volunteer so we can attempt to make additional updates, for a while I also had access to make minor updates to Dr. Shakur's site though when I tried recently after the volunteer's re-design, some problems developed ; see the below links section now missing the top banner, compared to the other pages on mutulushakur.com for an example. So until Dr. Shakur's staff have a chance to check with Churne's family to try to locate the volunteer, we don't have any ability to update the site.

However I wouldn't worry too much as to the BET producers, as Dr. Shakur's son Mopreme is the one who helped put together their episode on Dr. Shakur, and has been forwarding them all necessary materials on Dr. Shakur's request to put together the special, including a variety of documents and photos which Dr. Shakur and Churne have made accessible to me over the years. I agree it would be nice to update Dr. Shakur's site for the BET audience, however as you know another volunteer also setup a MySpace page for Dr. Shakur, which we have more of an opportunity to update as new developments arise. So could you please send me a list as to the other documents of Dr. Shakur's that you found on google, which you'd recommend us posting so we have on file?

Thanks again for the hard work on this and please let me know if you or your comrades need anything else. I'm not sure if everyone had a chance to see copies of Dr. Shakur's "Dare 2 Struggle" CD re-issue in 2006 or got a 'Free Mutulu' t-shirt, but if not let me know and I'll see what I can have sent to everyone.
