Dear Family,  Save the date - Next Sat. aft. Jan. 21st there will be a celebration of the life of Bro. Vincent Lynch ( Mar. 4, 1925 - Dec. 18, 2011)   It will take place at the North Oakland Senior Center next Sat. aft., 5714 MLK, (the old Merritt College)  More information will follow.  Bro. Vincent was a giant in our community. He was a Pan-Afrikanist, having come from a Garveyite family.  He was part of the founding of the Black Panther party and he was an editor at Burning Spear. He was a loving family man with a marriage of almost 50 years. He and his dear wife, Ann (who passed a year ago), lived in Tanzania in the mid 70's. If you have any special memories of this warrior or if you just appreciate the history he helped to make, his family welcomes you to attend.
