Activist Groups, Community Conduct Citywide Rally Against Youth Killings

(Baltimore, Maryland) Southern Christian Leadership Conference, (SCLC) Baltimore City Chapter, The Save Another Youth, Stop the Killing Coalition,  National Action Network Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter, and the Paul Robeson Institute are conducting a citywide ANTI-YOUTH VIOLENCE & COMMUNITY RESOURCE RALLY on Saturday, June 11, 2011, 3:00pm-5:00pm, at the Biltmore City Department of Education, 200 North Ave.

The groups plan to identify community-based services and programs for neighborhood youth, to compile an After School & Summer Youth Services Guide, to be updated, and distributed annually, and to host an annual After School & Summer Youth Services Fair. They have also pledged to launch a campaign to recruit local men to do community public safety patrols.

Youth service providers will be on hand with information about their programs, and the services they provide to neighborhood youth. Local elected officials, Ministers, Community Leaders, and Youth Leaders are also expected to attend.
