USE GOODSEARCH.COM AS YOUR SEARCH ENGINE AND SUPPORT CSU!
What if CSU earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can!
GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!
GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting your favorite cause.
Just go to www.goodsearch.com and BE SURE to FIRST SELECT OR ENTER CSU as the charity you want to support. And, be sure to spread the word!

CHECK OUT THE WEB SITE
Thanks to the love shown by Dewane Alexander our web site is being regularly updated. Check out the pictures of the completed bus mural, and the new video and print links in multimedia. And please let us know if you have any ideas for improving the look, or content!

FOOD PARTY AND FUNDRAISER
IN 2008 CSU will be hosting a (mostly) monthly food party as a means of bringing together cool people and great food and also raising some needed resources for our work. Each food party will have a different theme that will be reflected in the food and music (and clothes for the willing) featured. You don’t have to stay the whole evening, in fact the evening is planned so folks on their way elsewhere can stop, eat, chat and move on. The number of attendees will be limited for each event and it will be strictly pay in advance. So come and help get it kick started with, what else?
THE PUNJABI DHABA
Friday February 1st
6pm to 10pm
Featuring the finest food from my home home state in India, cooked to mouth watering perfection just for you! A detailed menu will be posted shortly, but you can be sure to get home cooked gourmet food, featuring locally grown and beyond organic produce, at an incredible price of $20.00 (though we will accept bigger donations). Spaces are limited, so sign up soon!

THANKS TO ALL OPEN HOUSE ATTENDEES!
Our Open House on Sunday Nov 11th was a heartwarming event, those who attended had good food, great vibes and a chance to support our efforts in this community.

So much of what CSU does is driven by folks like you, our community of supporters that give time and money to help make CSU’s programs possible.  We value your support above all else because we know it comes from folks in the community that really understand what CSU is working to accomplish and the importance of our work. Even the Open House wouldn’t have happened without help from so many who gave their time, including our staff and board members who volunteered all their time working to put on the event.  We never ask more of the community then we are willing to give ourselves.

Along with being a chance to reconnect with the extended CSU family, the Open House was also an important fundraising event for CSU and we planned carefully for each person that RSVP’d for the fundraising lunch.  We regret that we couldn’t celebrate with you at the Open House, but encourage you to consider still making a donation for the lunch that we prepared for you.
We’ve only just broke even on the Open House and your donation of any size not only helps us cover the costs of this event, but invests the continued success and growth of our community programs.

You can make a donation on-line at: http://csuinc.org/support/ or send checks to: Community Services Unlimted Inc. 1467 W. 49th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90062.  Also, visit our new website to get updates on CSU work:  http://www.csuinc.org

Thank you for your continued support of CSU’s efforts to make healthy, sustainable and self-reliant lifestyles a reality in our community.

Warmest Regards,
On behalf of the entire CSU Team
